Lip Blush

What is Lip Blush?

Lip Blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique designed to enhance the natural color and shape of your lips. It provides a subtle blush of color or if desired more coverage giving your lips a fuller, more defined look while maintaining a natural appearance.

How long does Lip Blush last?

Lip Blush typically lasts between 1-3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Annual touch-ups are recommended to keep the color fresh and vibrant.

Does Lip Blush hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild, with some experiencing a light stinging or tingling feeling. Pain tolerance varies, but the numbing cream usually makes the procedure comfortable.

What happens during a Lip Blush procedure?

The process begins with a consultation to discuss your desired lip shape and color. Once your lips are outlined with a guide pencil then numbed, a small tattoo machine is used to apply pigment in light layers. The entire procedure usually takes approximately 3 hours.

What are the benefits of Lip Blush?

Lip Blush enhances the natural color of your lips, adds subtle definition, and can make them appear fuller. It’s a great solution for those looking to improve the symmetry of their lips or achieve a soft, natural tint without daily lipstick application.

What is the aftercare for Lip Blush?

Aftercare is essential for the best results. For the first week, avoid getting your lips wet, direct sunlight, and excessive sweating. You’ll also need to apply a healing ointment and avoid picking at any scabs or dry skin as your lips heal.  You’ll need to take caution when drinking and eating.

How long does it take for Lip Blush to heal?

Initial healing takes about 5-10 days. During the first few days the color may appear more intense but will gradually soften as your lips heal. The full healing process takes about 4-6 weeks, and the final color will settle in after this period.

Will I need a touch-up?

Yes, a touch-up session is typically scheduled 6-12 weeks after your initial procedure. This session ensures that the color is even and the shape is perfect. After that, touch-ups are recommended every 12-18 months to maintain the results.

Can I still wear lipstick after Lip Blush

Yes! After your lips are fully healed, you can wear lipstick or lip gloss as usual. Many clients find that they need less makeup since Lip Blush provides a beautiful base color that enhances the lips naturally. Applying clear gloss can make your lip blush tattoo really pop “Glow and Go”

Are there any side effects?

It’s common to experience some mild swelling, redness or mild bruising immediately after the procedure, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours.  During the healing process, your lips may flake or peel slightly. Following aftercare instructions can help minimize any side effects.
